Thanks go out to all the people behind the sites linked here. Without these people toiling away on their projects, this site wouldn’t exist.
Indispensible Tools
- WordPress - for the amazing blogging software.
- Notepad - simple and easy to code in.
- Adobe Photoshop CS 2 - my graphics program.
- Dafont - Any fancy fonts are from here.
- SXC.HU - Many images I used in my older themes are from SXC.
- Filezilla - My FTP program. It’s free!
- Holdfire - Mt’s host.
Inspiration
- Babydoll.nu - It was pink-baby.com when I first found it, but Jays’ site was so amazing I decided to make a site of my own. Even thougn I never managed to get anywhere near her level of popularity, I still visit pretty regularly, even though I can’t read much tagalog.
- Tony.st - Now evaporated, a site that made WordPress themes that were basic enough for me to hack them into my first few themes.
- BoingBoing - Inspired me to write about the outrageous things happening in the news, starting an unstoppable spiral into pseudo-psuedo-journalism.
- Perfection - Teased me into wanting to be like them, until I read that nothing but personal blogs can join. I still go there to look at good examples of design.
- Tehsheriff - Had a site cute that was readable enough to make me want to learn to code like her, with Valid XHTML & CSS.
- Google -
ForcedInspired me to stop paid posting, and showed me how tacky it was. - Jemjabella - Inspired me to make my own WordPress theme from scratch, instead of by editing someone else’s theme, using a basic site template from Tutorialtastic. Jem’s example was the final step in getting me to code properly.
