Arrrg Mapquest. Sometimes they tell you to take huge highways that are super congested, and other times they only give directions via pay-highways.
But hey, at least… we made it.
I went through a bit of the Chyrp site, and there seem to be quite a few nice addons and the like. I’ve got to look into both of them a bit more, though. Do you know if Chyrp is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict? One of the most annoying things about Cutenews was fixing it up so it was valid… at least on the front page. The commenting page isn’t. D|
Aaand the debate about the comic makes me tilt my head a bit. The whole fear of terrorism in the US is getting a little out of hand, and the response to the article from Obama’s team only solidifies it. To be quite honest, I think the cartoon is a good take on it. I mean, the response is EXACTLY like I thought it would be, outrage over it. I don’t know how to say it, but… it’s everything you think would happen.
@Tammi
I don’t know if Chyrp is valid XHTML Strict, but I do believe it’s valid XHTML Transitional, at least. I found it via Jem’s post, so I’d assume it would be valid SOMETHING or other. Maybe create a demo blog and see if it’ll validate?
More people die in their sleep naturally each day than are killed by terrorists in the US. Honestly, I think my country’s gone bonkers. What ever happened to “remain calm and carry on”? My problem with the whole thing is it’s not funny. I mean, maybe if you had a “POW” or a “SPLAT” *giggles uncontrollably for 5 minutes* it would be a cartoon, but it’s just not funny. And as for making a statement, most of the people that need to update their prejudiced views DON’T READ THE NEW YORKER, lulz.
