さよなら、ばかなもの!

All of Mari’s old PayPerPost posts are now gone1! Check out the category link, Sponsored Posts.

NOTHING. Zero posts.

Woo-hah!

Of course, Mari’s old paid posts are still lurking around, reminding Mari of what a fool she was2.

As of now, this site has absolutely no advertising, and Mari intends to keep it that way. Even if Mari is probably going to go broke waiting for a job…

The only thing left to do with the PPP money is to wait for that last 25 bucks to transfer to Mari’s checking account and then donate $25.00 each to the National Wildlife Foundation and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, like Mari promised way back on 2 October3.

What do you think? Good or bad move on Mari’s part?
Have you ever or do you currently advertise for money on your site? If so, what do you think of it?
Have you ever done PPP? If so, what do you think of PPP?
If you’ve never done PPP, what do you think of it?

さやなら、ばかなもの!4

1 Mari had been swearing to her death that she would delete them all from this site for quite some time, and silently deleting them all month.
2 Mari never really got along with doing PPP and it never really got along with her. Proof, proof, more proof, a little more proof, a taste of proof, and finally some proof.
3 Mari decided to up the amount to $25.00 each, because, really, $2.50 coming out of Mari’s own pocket (rather than Mari’s pocketbook, isn’t that much.
4 Nearly a line from a song by Miyavi. In Mari’s case it means “Goodbye, stupid thing!” バカな人 by miyavi -雅- 「さよならバカな人…」

    I think it’s a fine idea. ;)
    I’ve tried things, like google ads and I’ve accumulated quite a lot, but never was able to get them to pay out. XD
    And I’ve tried different kinds of things, but they never worked either. :/

    Anyways, I decided that I like running my sites ad free instead of putting on ads on every page, no matter how tempting it is to see the little cents trickle in. XD /failz

    Good job finding a job? Maybe?
    And yay for your determination! :)

    I’ve never used PPP, because they said that I had to be 18 to be able to use them grr. But at the moment I’m using smorty, only recently started it but I’ve got 2 posts approved and should be getting a payout at the end of this week! I don’t have any of those clicking adds though, because I think they’re ugly - atleast I can kinda hide a sponsored post by posting a normal post straight after it lol.

    I think it’s funny how you talk in 3rd person (think thats the right tense?) in your blog entries, it’s really cool :)

    @Hiro

    You’d think Google would pay out…

    Yeah, Mari has applied at a few places, so thanks for the luck! Mari will need it!

    @Becky

    Mari actually finds that Text Link Ads are less distracting than paid posts, but that’s just Mari being a blog purist. XD

    Thanks. Mari appreciates that. (And yes, third person is correct.)

    I think it’s a good idea too! I agree with you in the text link ads being less distracting. I hope you find a new job and it works out for you!
