Thinking About Blog Action Day

Mari is participating in Blog Action Day, and Mari is now deciding what charity to donate her PPP earnings for the day of 15 October to.

The Blog Action Day site has a nice little list of charities that they recommend.

In considering both what to post about and what charity best corresponds with Mari’s topic, Mari has decided to donate her day’s Sponsored Post earnings to the National Wildlife Federation. Being that Mari is going to post about how the environmental changes are affecting polar bears, it seems only natural to pick a wildlife charity to donate to.

Are you participating in Blog Action Day?
If not, what have you done for the environment lately?

    That’s cool. I need to check out that Blog Action Day thing. I think I remember reading something about it last time I was here…
    I think you picked a great charity. I love nature, so ofcorse I would think it’s great. :)

    I’ll have to check out that Blog Action site as well. I wanted to join our school’s club where we perform many fund raisers and community service, but I believe it may be too late for me to send in dues. I hope not, as I would love to get involved.

    @Becca

    Yeah, there was one post about it before, but it didn’t seem to get any love…

    There were so many charities to choose from! It was difficult to pick. Though, in a perfect world, we wouldn’t have to choose just one charity to donate to.

    Oh, community service is always a good thing to do at school. It looks good on your records too!

    @Anusha

    Yeah, you have to look sometimes to find these things to participate in.

    I’m not participating in it, I didn’t know it existed, but I’d planned to donate some money to charities as soon as I’ve saved up some money, anyway. There should be a site with a huge list of links to charities, that accept Paypal.

    wow, i had no idea there was such a thing. you’re a very sweet and generous person :) unfortunately i don’t do PPP posting. i’ll check that site though, with all the other possible ways :)

    Kudos to you for doing that! I’ve never even heard of blog action day but it sounds great. I think I’ll go check out their website.

    Cool! I’ve never heard of that before, actually. :x
    Maybe I’ll try that out next year. :D
    I have yet to add my blog to PPP (but I’ve signed up) because it has yet to fit the requirements since I started the blog just this year.

    Actually, I haven’t heard of Blog Action Day before, so I’m sorry but I didn’t participate. I’m looking around the site but am a bit confused as to how it actually works XD That and I don’t have PPP either.

    And for the environment I have started to waste less paper, and recycle all the extra papers I would have otherwise thrown out. I like saving trees!

    There should be a site with a list of charities that accept PayPal…there really should.

    @Kathy

    Not really. This is one of the few times Mari has made an effort to be generous with charities.

    Yeah, there are other ways to help out.

    @Chelsea

    Surprisingly few bloggers hear about these things.
    Mari wonders where in the blogger hotline the info stops.

    @Marsha

    Mari will refrain from the lame name joke.
    Good luck getting into PPP!

    @Mishie

    Ah, well, It seemed pretty straightforward to Mari.
    (Who still hasn’t managed to cough up that post…)

    As long as you don’t make out with the trees. Trees are fun to save and even (when nobody’s looking) to hug, but don’t pull any Superstar stuff on us. XD
