Shutdown Day

Check out the latest trendy thing to participate in: Shutdown Day.

The idea behind it is that it would be a challenge for most to simply turn off their computers for a whole day, because we as a society are so fond of technology.

Do you think you could handle turning off your computer for a day?

I know I can go without a computer indefinitely, so I’m already signed up. 24 March, watch out, because I’ll be enjoying one of those random days when I get sick of the computer, and write on dead trees. Either that or go outside and garden if it’s nice.

[EDIT 26 March 2007] Here’s my next post on Shutdown Day and my wrap-up post.[/EDIT]

    Ah…maybe on a Saturday if I’m lucky. My online highschool does 7 day weeks though. They expect work 7 days a week…nevermind I don’t submitt everyday anyway. I hate online highschool with a passion. I might ^_^

    My cyberschool is 24/7 too, but by 24 March I expect I’ll have enough done to take a day off.

    I signed up as well, hurrah! I know I can do it, as I’ve done it before :D
    I study online as well but luckily I don’t have any certain days I have to be online so that shouldn’t interfere with the Shutdown Day. Hopefully.

    P.S. It’s up! :D

    It sounds fun. I’m still undecided just because I have a lot of school things I may need to get done such as watch a lecture, this and that. But it’s good to see that you’re gonna get to it. Is it safe to assume that you won’t be blogging that day? =P

    I would never be able to do that. I’m on the computer 24/7 it seems between work and play. My computer and I are attached at the hip.

    @Alex

    Sheesh, what do you do when it breaks?

    @Maria

    Nope, I schedule posts using WordPress, so even if I’m not online, I can still post something I wrote the night before.

    @Evie

    And a ha-ha to you too. Post something new on Rubysmile!

    @Sarah

    What would you do if it turned evil and tried to take over the world (not unlike The Terminator)?

    Oh that’s right; I forgot about WP’s spiffy thing like that. ^_^
