Miss Tuned Concerned About Politics?
Normally, you bet not!
But for some strange reason, most likely a regular check-up on how badly my senators are waffling over Net Neutrality, tonight I followed a Wiki breadcrumb trail to the 2008 US Presidential Election.
I was mildly amused by the wild speculation on who may run for US President. But, wait, this still makes no sense, why do I care? It’s the first election I get to tell my idiot government representatives who I like better.
One of the higher-ranked speculated runners, which really surprised me, was Condoleezza Rice (who?). So from that Wiki page I followed a link to this: Americans for Rice.
Besides the horribly, terribly, gut-bustingly hilarious reference to the slang term “Rice Queen” (say what?), this seems like something to watch, for me. At the very least, if the movement gains any popularity, it’ll be funny to watch when the white trash wearing hoods starts trying to leave comments on their blog.
And by the way, anyone else notice they’re running WordPress? Apparently just one Matt really can change the world.

Heh, the next election will be the first one I’ll get to vote as well. Yeah I’ve heard about Condi thinking about running. What’s funny is I did a debate on this just last year for my AP US class, except I was assigned to argue for Hillary Clinton v. Condi Rice. So I have to say after that, I am quite biased against Condi.
But anyhow, it will be interesting to see who will be actually running..
